Coffee is a universal drink that brings us all together. We drink coffee in the mornings together, grab coffee for friends, and meet at cafes for coffee dates. Well, this Valentine’s Day, why not make something for your loved one at home and share the time together over one of our specialty recipes. It only takes a few minutes, and would be great way partner with a chocolaty Valentine’s Day dessert.
Maybe the easiest of all of the recipes, the Cherry Garcia Mocha we have pictured above is the quickest drink to pair with dessert and keep the conversation going as you sip through the evening. Pull a double shot espresso right into your mug. Add your ground chocolate into the mug so it melts into the espresso. Steam 4 oz. of milk to about 140 degrees. Add your tablespoon of cherry juice into the mug and pour your steamed milk on top. Add a little chocolate garnish to the top, and enjoy!
The Cupid Cappuccino is just as much dessert as it is coffee, and adding some heart sprinkles is a sweet little touch to add some holiday flavor. Simply mix together your chocolate syrup, creme de menthe, amaretto, and sugar in a separate glass before frothing your milk. Pour your hot milk into your drinking cup of choice and pull one shot of espresso, we recommend Super Crema, over the milk. Pour in the mixed ingredients last and top off your drink with some whipped cream and sprinkles for a little decadent fun.
This warm and delicious drink is twist on a classic Valentine’s Day combo of cherries and Chocolate, and will help everyone stay warm and cozy. Pull a double shot of espresso and add in both the German chocolate syrup and the black cherry syrup. Grab you freshly steamed milk and pour it in last before piling on some whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and maraschino cherries to dress your drink to perfection.
Wow, compared to our drinks, this might look like a lot, but really it’s an easy recipe for a quick dessert for all coffee lovers who want some chocolate on Valentine’s Day. All of the ingredients get mixed right into a 12 oz microwave safe coffee mug, making everything simple. Also, a special thanks to the The Novice Housewife for creating this recipe!
First, whisk your egg into the mug with a fork. When the yolk is broken, add milk, salt, espresso (or instant coffee), sugar, cocoa powder, and the vegetable oil and mix everything well. After everything is mixed, add your 3 tbsp. of nutella. Mix it in well, as the nutella is pretty thick. Add your flour in slowly and fold as you go. This might take a minute to incorporate, so just be patient and just keep on folding!
Put your cup in the microwave for 2 ½ minutes. Let it cool for a few minutes before adding whip cream and strawberries to the very top for a complete dessert.
