I’ll start with my favorite which is making your own pumpkin spice spice mix. It’s really easy and super versatile. You can use this in your latte or coffee and it’s ready to go for pumpkin pies from scratch too.
Recipe One
Just combine 1/4 cup ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoon ground ginger, and two teaspoons each of ground cloves and ground nutmeg. And here’s a tip; ground cloves for some reason are very expensive and can be hard to find- so buy them whole and grind them yourself to save. So just put all the ingredients together, shake it up and that’s it.
Use the link up here and our lovely Morgan will take you through making the spice mix and the latte start to finish. But it’s very simple just add a half teaspoon of the spice mix to your espresso, some sugar if you like it sweet, then give it a stir and top with a finely microfoamed milk.
Recipe Two
Option 2 is to use a prepared syrup which is what you’d get in most cafes. We like Monin’s Pumpkin Spice syrup. Just add to taste to your espresso up to about an ounce, stir, and top with micro-foamed milk. For extra flavor add a few drops of pure vanilla extract or a prepared vanilla syrup. And with syrups, pumpkin spice is just one option. Use the link up here to check out other seasonal flavor favorites from Monin like maple spice, gingerbread, cinnamon bun and more. Plus we have the easy to use measured pump dispensers available there as well.
Recipe Three
Our 3rd option goes totally organic and includes actual pumpkin in the recipe. It’s sweet, but contains no refined sugars using maple syrup and palm sugar for sweetness instead! Use the link up here and Morgan takes you through making it from start to finish. You’ll need some of that pumpkin spice, spice mix for this one and these other ingredients. What’s incredible about this one? Well, everything really. It’s organic, has no refined sugars, about half the calories of Starbucks 16 ounce version and the pure maple syrup really ups the fall flavors.
And one last tip, for an extra kick and a little added warmth in a pumpkin spice latte a splash of dark rum is the way to go. It really compliments those fall flavors.
Thanks for watching and I hope you’ll come back soon for more of the good stuff on everything coffee.
