The Eureka Mignon Libra is an Italian-made, weight-based home espresso grinder that builds on the foundations of the Mignon series with precise weight-based grinding and dosing. Thanks to the Intelligent Weighing System, the Libra’s doses are programmed by weight within 1/10th of a gram and are accurate with a variation of just 0.2g per grind cycle. Housed in powder coated aluminum and featuring an adjustable portafilter fork, this is the weight-based grinder your prosumer has been waiting for.
The Libra’s display is the same vibrant touch screen featured on grinders like the Mignon Specialita and Turbo. Grinding weight is adjustable in tenths of a gram using the "+" and "-" buttons, and you can freely switch between single and double shots. Eureka’s new Intelligent Weighing System uses a unique anti-vibration design that allows the Libra to continue grinding even when bumped or knocked. To eliminate waste, the motor will also stop immediately if the portafilter is removed to prevent grinds from dispensing all over the counter. If you’re still experimenting with your dose, the freehand dispensing can still be achieved via manual mode.
For performance, it's equipped with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs and a strong 1350 RPM motor with an output of 1.4 - 1.8g/s for espresso. Eureka's ACE system helps prevent clumping by eliminating static in ground coffee, which in turn ensures dose consistency.
It's quiet, measuring in at about 73 dBA, so you won't ever need to stop a conversation to make your drinks. The Libra is equipped with Eureka's patented micrometric adjustment for smooth stepless dialing in, made even easier by the inclusion of the extra comfort knob. The Libra’s unique portafilter fork and cradle are still adjustable to fit designs from any manufacturer with a hand adjustable stop screw located at the base of the grinder.
The Eureka Mignon Libra is an excellent competitor in the arena of weight-based grinders. It inherits the best the Mignon series has to offer in terms of ease of use, grind consistency and compactness, while delivering double shots within 10 seconds and with only 0.2g of variability. The Mignon Libra's interface is inherited from the touch display used on past Mignon grinders. Grinding weight is measured in 1/10th of a gram, and a tap of the "+" or "-" buttons will increase or decrease the dose. For large adjustments, you can press and hold to race through the quantity. Pressing the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time will lock in your desired setting, and pressing in the single and double shot buttons at the same time will switch to manual mode.
Eureka's patented stepless micrometric adjustment is precise and easy to use. When preparing espresso, that level of control is vital when dialing in the grind. You need to find that sweet spot quick and easily to truly get the best results in the cup. The Eureka Mignon Libra also features an extra comfort knob for smoother adjustment.
Eureka's Anti-Vibration System allows the Mignon Libra to continue grinding even in the event of the portafilter being knocked or bumped during grinding. The Intelligent Weighing System will also stop the grind automatically if the portafilter is ever removed mid-grind.
The Mignon Libra features all of Eureka's best innovations including the anti-clumping ACE System, hands-free adjustable grinding fork, Silent Technology, and easy maintenance design which allows the top burr to be removed for cleaning without losing your grind setting.
