Breville Grind Control™ Overview
The Breville Grind Control grinds fresh coffee every time you brew. Housed in elegant stainless steel, this machine raises the bar for drip coffee makers. Inheriting the mantle left by Breville's popular YouBrew series, the Grind Control boasts a number of improved and thoughtful features that make it a worthy successor.
Features and Benefits
Whether you're looking for a full pot or just one cup, the Grind Control can accommodate. The insulated stainless steel carafe can hold up to 60oz of coffee and keep it hot for hours. If you're in a rush in the morning and only need one cup, you're covered for that too. Using the crystal clear LCD display, you can adjust settings including coffee strength, water volume, and grind fineness. In total, the Grind Control can brew between 5 - 60 oz of coffee with 8 strength options and the ability to brew using pre-ground coffee.
Internally your coffee is ground directly into a brewing chamber. This chamber is lined with a reusable gold tone filter that comes with the machine. When brewing between 8 - 20 oz, the machine uses a steep and release system that fully immerses the grounds for several minutes and then dispenses your coffee all at once. The drip tray on the Grind Control can be removed to allow clearance for cups up to 7.5\" tall. If you're a creature of habit you can also program the machine to turn on and start brewing at the same time every day.
For each cup or pot you brew, the beans will be ground fresh thanks to the built-in stainless steel burr grinder at the top of the machine. The burrs can be adjusted between 6 different fineness settings to ensure perfect extraction no matter what kind of roast you're brewing. The bean hopper holds up to .5 lb or 8 oz of whole bean coffee and features a locking mechanism that allows it to be easily removed to access the burrs or change out your beans.
