Grind adjustment on the Max is calibrated in 0.01 mm increments for maximum precision while dialing in shots. The single and double dosing options can be adjusted within 1/10 of a second with a tactile “click” from the encoder handgrips. Dosing selection is handled automatically by the Max’s feeler pins that detect whether a single or double spout portafilter has been inserted. Competition mode can also be toggled to dispense grinds manually rather than via timed doses.

Packed in a compact frame, the Max is equipped with the same 65 mm grinding burrs and 500 W motor found the DC One and DC Two grinders. At 4g/s the Max easily outpaces many home and commercially oriented grinders without sacrificing style or taking up too much space.
